The Federal Capital Territory Authority (FCTA) has said it would sanction any government hospital that fails to strengthen its SERVICOM unit.According to the Permanent Secretary, Mr. Christian Ohaa, all government hospitals in the FCT must have the units to enhance effective service delivery.

SERVICOM was established by the previous administration to improve the morale of civil servants through adequate monitoring for effective service delivery.
The Permanent Secretary gave the directive in Abuja when the FCT administration played host to the National Coordinator/CEO of the SERVICOM Office, Mrs. Nnenna Akajemeli, and her team during a working visit.

In a statement, yesterday, the Permanent secretary said the administration is committed to ensuring FCT residents get the best services in hospitals.Akajemeli explained that the SERVICOM index is a set of business-relevant key performance indicators that provide a standardised method for measuring and comparing performance against service standards defined by an organisation.

She hailed the Asokoro and Maitama General Hospitals as best performers in terms of their compliance with the SERVICOM principle, having scored above 50 per cent during their evaluation.
