Speaking during his investiture as the 41st president of the club and the induction of the 2022/2023 Board of Directors of Rotary Club of FESTAC Town including Chief Fred Muolokwu (Akunebiokwu), Sir Igwe Nonso C and Chief Donald Nnamdi Uzoeto as honorary Rotarians of Rotary Club of FESTAC Town, he said that: “Being the 41st president of this club shows that the Rotary Club of FESTAC Town has a rich history and has existed for the past 40 years. What we are doing today is not new in the club though it may sound alien to some of our guests who are just embracing Rotary.”
He was happy that the three honorary members are now Paul Harris fellows after donating one thousand US dollars each to the Rotary Foundation.
He said that the club has planned to touch on the seven areas of focus of Rotary. These include Economic Empowerment and Community Development, Water Sanitation and Hygiene, Basic Education and Literacy, and Maternal Care and Child Health, Environmental Protection, Peace and Conflict Prevention and Resolution etc.
