FG extends airport shutdown by two weeks as UK evacuates 213
The Federal Government yesterday extended the shutdown of airports nationwide by another two weeks.
The Minister of Aviation, Hadi Sirika, who disclosed this via his Twitter account, stated that the facilities would no longer open for commercial operations on April 23.
Besides, the British Airways flight, BA9157, has evacuated 213 United Kingdom citizens from the Murtala Muhammed International Airport (MMIA), Lagos.
The Boeing 747 aircraft with registration number G-CIVO with 22 crewmembers landed the airport at 1.22 pm. The plane thereafter departed at 4pm with 235 persons on board.
