FG unveils programmes showcasing President’s achievements
Vice President Yemi Osinbajo has said that in the face of fierce criticisms and great sacrifices, the current administration has pursued the realisation of its promises for better security, laying a foundation for prosperity and creating hope for the future.
He stressed the need to ensure the unfinished business of the administration finds continuity and fulfillment in subsequent governments.
To this end, the Federal Government unveiled four programmes: Documentary; Testimony Series; Compendium of the Administration’s Achievements and Legacy
Portal.
Speaking at the event, tagged ‘Preserving PMB Legacy’, organised by Federal Ministry of Information and Culture, at the Presidential Villa, yesterday, Osinbajo said the Buhari-led administration considers it a privilege and an honour to serve Nigerians in the past eight years, adding that its accomplishments are the hard-won dividends of the social contract entered into with the people when it came into office in 2015.
The Vice President observed that through the testimonials of actual beneficiaries, the government was able to practically present the largest social investment programme in Africa and also gauge the impact of the programme and some accompanying policies over the years.
He said: “Time and history will no doubt speak more eloquently of our stewardship. But for now, we can confidently say that we have given as much as we could.”
