Schneider Electric has commended the federal government’s ongoing efforts to reposition Nigeria’s power sector, particularly through the investments in digital transformation across industries, saying the initiatives were already unlocking new opportunities for modern electrical distribution and energy management technologies.
This was contained in a statement yesterday by the Lauritz Knudsen Electrical & Automation, a unit of Schneider Electric, following the conclusion of an industry stakeholder engagement in Lagos, where partners, distributors, electrical contractors and consultants, among others, gathered to strengthen collaboration and showcase advanced electrical solutions tailored to Nigeria’s evolving infrastructure needs.
“As Nigeria continues to invest in industrialisation, urban development and critical infrastructure, the need for safer, smarter and more resilient electrical systems has never been greater,” the firm said.
Also speaking, the Head of Strategy, Business Development, Pricing & LK MEA at Lauritz Knudsen Electrical & Automation, Dallal Slimani, called on the private sector to sustain the momentum by forging strong collaborations, which he said would play a pivotal role in shaping the region’s infrastructure landscape.
“Across the Middle East and Africa, industries are accelerating investments in electrification, digitalisation and operational resilience,” Slimani said. “Meeting these ambitions requires more than innovative products. It requires strong partnerships, technical expertise and continuous knowledge sharing.”
On his part, the Business Development Manager for West Africa, Lauritz Knudsen Electrical & Automation, Valentine Mbachu, said Nigeria was entering a defining phase of industrial and infrastructure development. According to him,
“across sectors, organisations are investing in facilities and operations that require electrical systems capable of delivering greater safety, efficiency and reliability.”
He explained that the industry engagement aimed to strengthen the capabilities of Nigeria’s electrical industry while supporting the country’s ambitions for industrial competitiveness, infrastructure modernisation and sustainable growth.
“As industries continue to embrace digital transformation and energy efficiency, the company believes collaboration between manufacturers, channel partners and technical professionals will remain essential to building electrical infrastructure that is not only reliable today but prepared for the demands of tomorrow,” he added.
