Governor Ahmadu Fintiri is chairman of the 871-man Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) campaign council, working to ensure that former Vice President Atiku Abubakar wins all Adamawa votes in the 2023 presidential poll.

The governor, during the inauguration of the campaign team in the Government House, Yola, yesterday, expressed confidence that PDP would take over the reins of power at the federal level and retain power in the state.

Reading his 38-page speech, Fintiri urged the people of Adamawa to vote Atiku and retain his government for consolidation of his achievements.

“The journey we started in 2019 is a voyage well-travelled and I must add, with all modesty, that at this point, there is no better driver to ply this road smoothly again, than I,” he said, urging the electorate to give him their trust, once again, for more actions.

“We are today inaugurating a loaded 871-man campaign council. This high-powered council will be chaired by no other person than my humble self to give it the drive and leadership it disserves, considering that we have as a presidential candidate, one of our illustrious sons, Atiku Abubakar.”

Fintiri pointed out that he had compressed his 11-point agenda to eight, having attained appreciable progress with the 11 agenda.

“This is reloaded to give birth to the Adamawa of our collective dream come 2027,” he stated.
