Worried about the underserved segments of the African continent facing energy poverty, Grid Crux Energy Solutions has reiterated its commitment towards improving the condition, with a mission to develop, finance and deploy alternatives.

It made the commitment at a recent pre-launch event with partners and major players in the technology and energy space, while unveiling MasSolar, an initiative of the company, tailored at providing easy access to sustainable energy via a digital, easy, paperless and seamless credit approach to residents and Small and Medium Enterprises (SMEs).

According to the International Energy Agency, over 580 million people in Africa lack access to electricity, and this has led to negative impacts on the continent’s economic growth, health, education and social well-being.

Grid Crux’s Chief Executive Officer (CEO), Mojola Ola, explained that the offering leverages technological advancements in consumer credit, unique customer identification and a robust fintech backbone infrastructure to provide consumers with easiest and quickest means to access credit for residential and SME renewable solutions.

He said the company was committed to addressing the challenge by providing innovative, sustainable and affordable energy solutions to African communities, beginning with Nigeria.

Aside MasSolar, the firm also unveiled other innovative solutions geared at revolutionising energy management in Africa, while offering consumers several options to reduce bills.
