Financial technology and brokerage firm, TigerWit, has trained 30 new retail traders in foreign exchange trading and cryptocurrency. The firm which runs a transparent ledger system powered by blockchain technology educates her clients on how to successfully navigate the financial market by paying attention to risk management and trading edge development.

Speaking at the graduation ceremony of the new traders held in Lagos, Head of Africa Business, TigerWit Africa, David Onaolapo, said the training was necessary to bridge the gap in financial literacy and reduce inferiors infiltrating the industry. The new entrants were taken on a three-month training daily as a flagship of the online academy. Onaolapo and the Head of Education, Davies Babalola, afforded the students the opportunity to glean from their wealth of experience and learn to avoid pitfalls. For the trainees, the graduation ended with freebies as top three students were awarded with $1000, $500, and $250 each.

Meanwhile, to encourage women to delve into the industry, each graduating woman was given $200.

This training aims to commence this year in other cities including Port Harcourt, Warri, Abuja, Ibadan, and Enugu.
