Former ACF scribe lauds formation of new Northern group
Former Secretary General of Arewa Consultative Forum (ACF), Elder Anthony Sani said establishment of the North Central Peoples’ Forum (NCPF) would bring about socio-economic development of the Middle Belt region.
Sani, who reacted to the speculation that the break away from ACF might portray danger to the cohesion of northern region, pointed out that “the formation of NCPF did not amount to break-away from ACF.”
He said: “It is a local platform meant to complement the socio-economic development of North Central geopolitical zone.
“ For example, there are geopolitical platforms such as Northcentral, Northeast and Northwest Governors’ Fora, which exist to complement the Northern State Governors’ Forum.
“There are some active ACF members like Gen Jeremiah T. Useni and Arch Gabriel Aduku, as helmsmen of the newly floated NCPF. ACF and NCPF are, therefore, never mutually exclusive.”
