Virtuous Hope Alive Foundation (VHAF), a charity platform set up to bring succour to the poor, has been launched in Lagos.

President/ Founder of the Foundation, Pastor (Mrs.) Olaide Ogunbekun, who launched the project in commemoration of her 50th birthday, said the group would support the needy; mentor, counsel and empower them, especially the widows.

Ogunbekun, who is also the Proprietress of Virtuous World Pre-School, said since 2013, the foundation in partnership with her pupils’ parents, have been engaging in various charity projects yearly, to touch and transform lives in orphanages, old people’s homes and others.

According to her, their experiences in past charity projects had increased their zeal and passion to more for mankind and this was demonstrated at the formal launch of the foundation.

Sewing machines were given to widows at the event. Tagged Charity Day, the event also witnessed street distribution of food packs to over 800 people.

Also speaking, President of the National Network Entrepreneurial Women in Nigeria, Mrs. Modupe Oyekunle urged other Nigerians to always remember the needy in the society.
