Born on June 1, 1938, Wright passed away at the General Hospital in Marina, Lagos, on April 16, at the age of 79.
He attended the St. Gregory’s College, Obalende, Lagos, and thereafter worked at the Federal Ministry of Commerce and Industry before proceeding to England to study Journalism at Regent Street Polytechnic (now University of Westminster), United Kingdom.
