Get Guardian on GoogleIn an era defined by digital transformation, one Nigerian technology leader is making global waves by delivering internet speeds that were once unimaginable in West Africa.
Aminat Abiola Ganiyu, a driving force behind Tizeti Network Limited’s most ambitious projects, has helped launch Nigeria into the gigabit age. Through her leadership at the Tizeti NextGen 1.0 and 2.0 events in Lagos Nigeria, she showcased multi-gigabit wireless fiber solutions that are now reshaping connectivity in some of the world’s most densely populated urban centers.
Working in partnership with Cambium Networks, Aminat Abiola Ganiyu championed the deployment of 60 GHz cnWave™ fixed wireless technology, a system capable of delivering 1 Gbps speeds without the need for expensive underground cabling or long installation timelines. In practical terms, this means communities can be connected in weeks instead of years.
The implications are enormous. In a country where many still struggle with slow and unreliable connections, Tizeti’s Next Generation Wi-Fi, more than 100 times faster than many existing services, is unlocking new possibilities for education, healthcare, business, and governance.
Industry experts have hailed the model as a game-changer, noting that it can be replicated in other parts of Africa and the developing world. For Aminat Abiola Ganiyu, however, the mission is deeply personal.
“We cannot talk about economic growth or social development without connectivity,” she says. “This is about giving people the tools to thrive in a digital economy.”
Her achievements have cemented her position not just as a national leader in technology but as a voice in the global conversation on bridging the digital divide. With over 1.5 million users already benefiting from Tizeti’s services, Aminat Abiola Ganiyu’s work is creating a future where high-speed internet is not a luxury but a right.
And as the world races toward an interconnected future, West Africa now has a place at the front of the pack, thanks in no small part to Aminat Abiola Ganiyu’s vision, expertise, and relentless drive.
