Rivers State Governor, Siminalayi Fubara, has announced plans to commission another batch of projects across the state.

The governor, who disclosed this through the Secretary to the State Government, Dagogo Wokoma, on Friday,said the projects were aimed at improving infrastructure, enhancing the quality of life of residents and stimulating economic development across the state.

According to him, the projects are tangible evidence of Fubara’s administration commitment to transforming communities and addressing the developmental needs of the people.

He said the projects also underscored the administration’s determination to ensure that governance translated into meaningful and measurable benefits for residents across the 23 local government areas of the state.

“As we prepare for these historic events, we acknowledge the dedication and contributions of government officials, contractors, host communities and other stakeholders whose collective efforts have made these achievements possible,” he said.

Some of the projects scheduled for commissioning include the Buguma-Degema-Abonnema Road, covering the Asari-Toru, Degema and Akuku-Toru local government areas; Egwi-Afara-Mba Road in Etche Local Government Area; Omademe Internal Roads in Omademe, Ikwerre Local Government Area; the new Air Force Base Runway in Port Harcourt Local Government Area; and the Elele-Egbeda-Omoku Dual Carriageway, covering Ikwerre, Emohua and Ogba/Egbema/Ndoni local government areas.

Others are the Elechi Polytechnic Entrepreneurship Centre/Engineering Faculty Building in Rumuola, Obio/Akpor Local Government Area; Agba-Ndele Road and Bridge in Ndele, Emohua Local Government Area; and the New Zonal Hospital in Omoku, Ogba/Egbema/Ndoni Local Government Area, among others.

The SSG urged Rivers residents to join in celebrating the milestones and continue to support Fubara’s administration as it pursues peace, development, progress and prosperity across the state.
