FUOYE VC decries non-payment of fees
The Vice Chancellor of Federal University, Oye-Ekiti, Prof. Kayode Shoremekun, has decried non-payment of school fees by students of the institution, saying that it has affected the internally-generated revenue, which the school needed to assist government in funding projects.
Shoremekun, who stated this at the weekend during an interactive session with journalists, said that out of the over 17,000 students enrolled for the 2018/2019 academic session, about 14,000 students were yet to pay their school fees
He said such unwholesome development had slowed down developmental efforts of the management in the provision of facilities needed for conducive learning and research.
The VC said that the management of the institution might reach out to the parents and guardians of the students to know the true position of things.
