Government opens engagement on internal security, conflict resolution

The Federal Government has opened a stakeholders’ engagement on internal security and conflict resolution in the country.

Minister for Interior, Rauf Aregbesola, who spoke yesterday in Maiduguri, Borno State, called on Nigerians to support the current administration in its efforts to stabilise security nationwide.

He said government “is pained by the hardship Nigerians are going through on account of security challenges in some parts of the country, and is determined to do whatever is necessary to bring an end to insecurity in the country.”

Commending the security agencies for their doggedness, Aregbesola urged them to see the people as important in achieving feats.
