Governor has unleashed untold hardship, starvation on Kogi people — Wada

• Bello Remains The Best – Kogi CPS
The immediate past Governor of Kogi State and aspirant of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP), Capt. Idris Wada, has said the last three and half years of Governor Yahaya Bello in Kogi has brought untold hardship on the people through hunger and starvation, occasioned by non-payment of workers’ salaries. Wada, who spoke on Friday, on the sideline of PDP state congress held in Lokoja, accused Bello of running a deceptive government.

“This government lies about everything. It claims to embark on various non-existent projects, which cannot be found anywhere…” Wada said. He added: “They have no clue on how to move the state forward and enhance the peoples’ standard of living. They don’t know how to improve revenue generation in the state, hence, their inability to pay salaries…”

Reacting, the Chief Press Secretary to Bello, Onogwu Muhammed, said: “We won’t use such language on someone who was a governor in the state. Such an office represents the state. Having said that, we want to appreciate the former governor, once again, for helping us to tell the world the salary issue didn’t start with the present administration…”
