Governors felicitate with Muslims, urge unity, prayers to end insecurity



Governors of Ondo State, Oluwarotimi Akeredolu; Seyi Makinde (Oyo); Babajide Sanwo-Olu (Lagos), Dapo Abiodun (Ogun) and Adegboyega Oyetola (Osun State), have felicitated with Muslim faithful across the country on the celebration of Eid-el-Fitri.

In a statement made available to journalists in Akure, yesterday, by the Chief Press Secretary to the Governor, Mr. Richard Olatunde, Akeredolu also tasked Muslims on peaceful co-existence with others and security consciousness.


IN the same vein, a statement by Chief Press Secretary to Oyo Governor, Mr. Taiwo Adisa, said Makinde enjoined Muslim faithful in the state and Nigerians to reflect on the spiritual benefits of Ramadan, which include love, peace and justice in their daily living and through this, contribute to the development of the nation.
ALSO, Oyetola, in his Sallah message, urged the Muslims not to forget the significance and lessons of the just-concluded month of Ramadan.

Sanwo-Olu, while urging the Muslims in the state and across the country to continue on the path of spirituality and peaceful co-existence, Abiodun, in a statement by his Chief Press Secretary, Kunle Somorin, noted that Muslims had engaged in the spiritual exercise as directed by Allah for the past one month, urging the faithful not to do away with love, prayers, unity and harmony that formed the basis of the holy month.

He further urged them to continue to offer prayers for peace and unity in the country, particularly in the face of security and economic challenges.

ONDO State Governor Oluwarotimi Akeredolu, his Oyo counterpart, Seyi Makinde; Lagos State Governor Babajide Sanwo-Olu, Ogun State Governor Dapo Abiodun and Osun State have felicitated with Muslim faithful across the country on the successful completion of Ramadan fast and celebration of Eid-el-Fitri.
