A safety advocacy group, Occupational Safety and Health Association (OSHA), has called on individuals and organisations to support safer and healthier citizenry, particularly, at workplaces.

In a statement issued in Akure, yesterday, President of OSHA (Nigeria Region), Dr. Olusegun Aderemi, noted that the goals of the association could only be achieved with the support of individuals and organisations.

Aderemi, who appreciated the support so far enjoyed from members and partners, emphasised the need to strategise for greater impact in 2022.

He said: “The past year was indeed very exciting for OSHA. But most importantly, the strides that were achieved through collaboration with you contributed to this landmark success story in the task of ensuring Nigerians are safer and healthier, especially in workplaces.

“The association has dived into the year, head-on, with better vigour, agility and technical capability to service more Nigerian organisations through diverse intellectual means until we reach zero-accident, incident and fatality level in Nigeria.”

He added: “For this goal to attain the required mileage, I crave your support. OSHA can only achieve greater strides through collaboration with you. We solicit ideas on how we can adequately support this goal, and also intelligent promos that can attract everyone, especially those at the grassroots.”
