Group warns politicians against insulting elder statesmen
The Tiv Youth Council (TYC) has urged Benue State politicians to desist from insulting elder statesmen in the state, warning that such acts would no longer be tolerated.
TYC President, Comrade Mike Msuaan gave the warning at a briefing in Makurdi, recalling that during a courtesy visit of Turan district youths to Governor Samuel Ortom, the governor referred to elder statesman, Paul Unongo as a liability that does not deserve any good treatment.
Msuaan said his association members took an exception to such act, viewing it as ‘character assassination’ of the Tiv leader, who is TYC grand patron.
