The crisis rocking the Rivers State Chapter of the All Progressives Congress (APC) took a new twist, yesterday, as scores of hoodlums vandalised the state secretariat of a faction of the party in Port Harcourt.

The Guardian gathered that the secretariat, opened by a faction of the party loyal to Senator Magnus Abe, a governorship aspirant, was attacked at about 9:00am on Saturday.

An eyewitness told journalists that hoodlums, who vandalised the secretariat wore black and were armed with lethal weapons.

According to him, as soon as they entered the building, they smashed the windows, broke the ceiling and pull down the APC flags.

Meanwhile, the member representing Ikwerre/Emohua Federal Constituency in the House of Representatives, Chidi Wihioka, has alleged that security personnel supervised the attack.

Wihioka claimed that the factional chairman of the party in the state, Ojukaye Flag-Amachree had on, Thursday, threatened that any parallel APC secretariat in the state would be pulled down.
