Olanrewaju said the company based in Ilorin, Kwara State, is transforming the cold chain logistics sector through their commitment to preserving the natural nutrients in fruit, vegetables, dairy, and animal products.
The CEO during a recent press engagement noted that the brand was launched out of a need in the market for reliable cold chain solutions. Olanrewaju explains, “Initially, our business was poultry production. At one stage, we received a call from an industry leader to supply them with frozen chicken. It was a breakthrough for us. However, during delivery, we faced a major setback when the temperature inside the truck rose significantly, resulting in the loss of millions of naira. This incident inspired us to develop a solution that would ensure the quality and freshness of perishable products during transport.”
He said the company’s business model revolves around hiring out their trucks and offering end-to-end cold chain logistics solutions, safeguarding products from the farm gate to the final market.

He noted that Kennie-O Cold Chain Logistics operates cold rooms for customers to store their products and a packhouse where they sort, grade, and wash fresh fruits and vegetables.
“The company’s partnerships with major markets, embassies, retail stores and direct sales to individuals further strengthen their position in the market.
“Our brand stands out from the competition due to our innovative technology, such as temperature trackers, which provide visibility and ensures that our customers receive their products in optimal condition. Furthermore, we offer competitive prices that make our services accessible to a wide range of clients.”
Olanrewaju stated that Kennie-O Cold Chain Logistics focuses on an online platform to reach their target audience, which includes farmers, pharmaceutical companies, hotels, aggregators, dairy farmers, and individuals in the logistics space.

“Looking ahead, Kennie-O Cold Chain Logistics aims to become one of the top 5 cold chain logistics solutions providers in Africa. The company’s inspiration and creative processes are driven by their commitment to helping others and ensuring customer satisfaction. With their focus on continuous improvement, Kennie-O Cold Chain Logistics is set to make a significant mark in the industry.”
