Hygeia HM, Access Bank launch financing for IVF treatment

Hope has risen for couples seeking children of their own as Hygeia HMO in conjunction with Access Bank Limited has launched a scheme for In-Vitro Fertilization (IVF) treatment. The financing will cover post investigation, technical fees, drugs, donor eggs and donor sperm cells as required in each case.

Head, Business development and Strategy, Hygeia HMO, Obinna Ukachukwu who highlighted the challenges facing couples trying to conceive said those facing infertility often try many different fertility boosting methods delivered by untrained providers, thereby risking their lives and finances. He said this is because of few reputable treatment centres and the high cost of funding these treatments.

According to him, the initiative will reduce the financial burden on couples and the company will also provide in-house doctors to guide clients. To take advantage of the IVF financing, interested clients are advised to send a request to Hygeia HMO through to receive direct information including the partner clinics available and requirements of Access Bank.

According to him, the clients will choose a clinic and get investigations done to confirm eligibility. After that the bank will disburse funds to eligible ones within 72 hours and Hygeia HMO start treatments once they receive the funds.
