IBEDC appeals to customers to pay bills
Says tariffs are fixed by NERC
The management of Ibadan Electricity Distribution Company (IBEDC), yesterday, appealed to its customers to pay their outstanding bills to avoid mass disconnection.
A statement signed by Chief Operating Officer of the company, John Ayodele, said IBEDC was embarking on the exercise owing to payment apathy by customers.
The COO, however, urged customers with disputed bills to lodge their complaints at the nearest IBEDC office to seek redress or adjustments.
Ayodele, who spoke on the issue of tariff rates, said only the Nigerian Electricity Regulatory Commission (NERC) has the power to determine what customers should pay for electricity.
