ICC holds conference in Nigeria

The first ICC Africa Regional Arbitration Conference in Nigeria begins at Eko Hotel & Suites, Victoria Island, Lagos on Sunday, June 19, 2016.

It is expected to be opened by Vice President Yemi Osinbajo. It ends on June 21.

The conference’s theme is “Arbitration and Africa: Prospects and Challenges.”

It is expected to attract over 1000 lawyers in the country and the keynote speaker is Mr. Alexis Mourre, President, ICC International Court of Arbitration, Paris alongside the President of the Nigerian Bar Association (NBA), Mr. Augustine Alegeh. Other eminent personalities like
Alhaji Aliko Dangote, Chief Michael Adenuga Jnr., Uzochi Nwagwu, CEO, GE Oil and Gas, Strive Masiyiwa, Founder / Chairman, Econet Wireless Group, Harare, and Herbert Wigwe, MD, Access Bank are also expected.

The conference is jointly organised by the International Court of Artbitration (ICC) and Nigeria International Chamber of Commerce (ICC Nigeria).
