One of Africa’s leading PR and Communications professionals, David Idagu, is joining other panelists to discuss how tech startups and organisations could effectively manage crises and public relations at the AfricaNXT – the continent’s biggest conference for entrepreneurs.

The session, which holds today in Lagos, will feature a panel of foremost African PR, tech and media experts to share insights on why investing in crisis communications plan for startups and businesses could become best investment in the long run.

According to Idagu, while startups and organisations are typically budget-conscious and investing in crisis communication plans could seem like an unnecessary exercise, planning ahead would empower startups and organisations with a strategy to take control of the narrative.

“Ignoring a crisis will invariably make it worse by creating an information void that can lead to damaging speculation,” he cautioned.
Other panelists include founder of Alpha Reach, Japheth Omujuwa; Senior Writer at TechCabal, Damilare Dosunmu and founder of Abiola Bonuola Communications, Abiola Bonuola.

Idagu is the Africa Regional Consultant for Allison+Partner, a global public relations agency, with presence in 34 markets across Europe, Asia, Middle East, and the Americas.
