Ihedioha preaches obedience, tolerance, sacrifice
Imo State Governor Emeka Ihedioha yesterday advised Muslim faithful to make obedience and sacrifice their watchwords, abide by the teachings and lessons of the season and tolerate one another irrespective of ethnicity, creed or religion.
In a statement issued by his Special Adviser on Media, Steve Osuji, the governor appealed to Muslims to obey the laws of the land as they celebrate, stressing: “We need to obey the laws of the land, which make accommodation for all, irrespective of creed or ethnicity.
“And we need to make sacrifices to accommodate one another. When we do these, the current wind of discontent and threats of disintegration shall blow away and peace and tranquility will reign.”
