Abia State Governor Okezie Ikpeazu yesterday unveiled a statue of the late Minister of Works in the defunct Eastern Region, Chief Paul Ururuka, built by the state government at Obikabia junction while opening Umuene-Obikabia road.

According to Ikpeazu, the road will enhance economic activities in Aba and its environs, as well as in Isiala Ngwa North and South.

He also inaugurated the First Phase of the Umuibe-Umuokereke Ngwa-Ntighauzo-Ibeme ring road in Obingwa Local Government Area of the state completed by his government.

The state Commissioner for Works, Bob Ogu, stressed the need for the people to protect the road.

Transition Committee Chairman, Obingwa Local Government Area, Chief Kingsley Nnaji, commended the governor for constructing the road, pointing out that it cuts across the five wards in Agalaba in Obingwa councils.
