The Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC) said it has discovered a fake Twitter account in the name of its Acting Chairman, Ibrahim Magu with the username: @IbrahimMagu.
It’s Acting Spokesman, Tony Orilade, in a statement yesterday noted that the said Twitter handle does not belong to Magu and as such whatever tweets emanating from it was not from the EFFC’s Chairman, neither do they represent the commission’s views.
Orilade advised members of the public not to engage with the said handle in any way, saying efforts were being made to trace, apprehend and prosecute the impersonators.
He added that the EFCC could, however, be contacted through its verified handles on FaceBook, Twitter and Instagram @OfficialEFCC.
