Imo APC members ground Owerri, stage loyalty for Uzodinma

In what looked like a return protest staged by the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP), members for the sacked Imo governor, Emeka Ihedioha, on Sunday, to be reinstated, scores of the members and supporters on the new governor, Chief Hope Uzodinma, on Monday, grounded socio -economic activities in some parts of Owerri, expressing their unflinching support for the state governor.

While some supporters were at the round about of the Okigwe Road, near the Government House, Owerri, others went through the streets of the capital city to express their love for Uzodinma.

Displaying their flags, and singing solidarity songs, they said that Uzodinma has sat on the exhaulted while Ihedioha is in exited seat, maintaining that there was no room for reversal.

One of the fans of the governor, Okere John said: “We have come to show Imo people that majority of the people are in love with our new governor, Chief Hope Uzodinma. The PDP should know that they are not the only ones that know better than us. We also are in support of our governor. This is the truth. We cannot be cowed. The Supreme Court has spoken and it is final. We are happy for Uzodinma as our governor now.”
