The Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) has declared the All Progressives Congress (APC) candidate, Akarachi Amadi, as the winner of Saturday’s supplementary election for the Mbaitoli/Ikeduru Federal Constituency of Imo State.

INEC’s returning officer, Prof Boniface Okoro, announced that Amadi polled the highest number of votes with 21, 372 votes.

While the candidate of the All Progressives Grand Alliance (APGA), Henry Nwawuba, polled 7, 202 votes, and the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) candidate, Usmond Ukanacho, polled 6,681 votes.

the African Democratic Congress (ADC), Chinonso Uba, scored 4, 100 votes, while Godstime Chukwunuikem of the Social Democratic Party (SDP) got 246 votes.
