The General Overseer, of the Redeemed Christian Church of God (RCCG), Enoch Adeboye, has said the security challenge facing Nigeria is not ordinary but assured of God’s intervention.

Adeboye stated this, yesterday, during a visit, in the company of his senior pastors, to Governor Hope Uzodimma of Imo State in Douglas House, Owerri.

“The problem of Nigeria, today, is beyond human comprehension; a situation where non-state actors dictate to the government when people should come out and not come out,” Adeboye said.

According to a statement by the Chief Press Secretary and Media Adviser to the Governor, Oguwike Nwachuku, the pastor said his team had been fasting and praying for the restitution of the land for days, but that God directed him to visit the lands across Nigeria where the forces of darkness were enveloping light, hence the visit to Imo for a prayer session.

Adeboye informed the Governor that the reason for his visit was not just to touch his legs on those lands and places where the forces of darkness tend to have taken the upper hand, but to proclaim and decree the strength of God Almighty on such places.

He said: “With the visit, there must be light in South East henceforth.”

Receiving the clerics, Uzodimma described the visit as “a big privilege because Adeboye is believed to be a real anointed man of God.”

The governor said Imo people and his government were not in doubt that the visit would bring peace, unity and stability to Imo in particular and the South East in general because they were required for progress and development.
