Itel donates food items, school packs to SOS Village

Itel Mobile in partnership with its major phone dealer, Iknorbert Communication Limited, have donated bags of rice, noodles and other food items to the Save Our Soul (SOS) Children Village, Isolo, Lagos State to support the upkeep of the children.

The firms also donated bags, books, writing materials and umbrellas to the kids as the new school session began. The donations, which were made recently, was part of the Itel bimonthly ‘Love Always On’ initiative, which focuses on bringing succour to less privileged children in the communities.

National Marketing Manager, Itel Mobile, Jeff Tang, said the initiative is one of the company’s way of giving back to the society, especially the less privileged children, who are left with no care and support to further their dreams. He also pledged that the company would train the children in technology skills.

Representative of Iknorbert, Bright Adetula, explained that the partnership with Itel is to support the less privileged children by providing their basic needs for a sound education.

Receiving the items for the home, the Programme Director, Ayodeji Adelopo, thanked the technology firms for the gesture, saying that the children in the centre needs more support and love to enable them achieve their dreams.He said the centre, which would mark its 70th anniversary globally, provides the children who have been abandoned in the society with their needs, which is not enough for them, just as he appealed to the firms to train the children in technology as most of them are talented and need an avenue to develop it.
