James Ibori released from prison

Former governor of Delta State James Ibori has been released from prison in the United Kingdom after serving out his jail term.

But it was not clear whether he will immediately return home because of legal proceedings concerning the confiscation of his assets worth tens of millions of dollars are still unresolved.

Ibori was jailed for money laundering offences by Southwark Crown court in 2012.

More details later.

At least Nigeria people get justice that corrupt system and judges back home denied them. A system that only punished the weak and poor, the rich and connected elite get away with murder. Ibori by international western standard is a convicted felon for life. Back home, I’m sure he will be welcome with drums and piper from the airport to his country home when he return to Nigeria. Tale of two different world. Wonder why things are the way it is, Think!

NIGERIA IS DOOMED: 95% of Senators and Reps members are endemically corrupt. So are the Ministers, D-G MDAs and other senior political office holders. To make matters worse the Judiciary(Judges) / NJC / Police and the Law enforcement agencies are all neck deep in corruption
