Jang chides Lalong over financial misappropriation claims
The Senator representing Plateau North at the National Assembly and former governor of Plateau State, Jonah David Jang has reacted to a publication in the media concerning allegations of financial misappropriation leveled against him by Governor Simon Bako Lalong.
The allegations were contained in a petition written to the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC) by the Secretary to the State Government Rufus Bature.
A statement by Jang’s Media Aide, Clinton Garuba said, “Critical agencies of government like the EFCC are not run by infantile whims or impulsive wishes, that is why the sterling record of performance as exemplified on the Plateau by Senator Jonah Jang could not keep him beyond some few hours at the EFCC when he was invited sometimes ago, and it would remain so even if Lalong himself were to head the commission.”
Jang said he was not worried about media reports because of his record of achievements as state governor.
