In what they described as major breakthrough in the fight against banditry and criminalities in the state, the Police in Kaduna, yesterday paraded the alleged killers of Senator Bala Ibn Na-Allah’s son, Captain Abdulkarim Ibn Na-Allah.

They also arrested armed bandits, who they said abducted Greenfield University and Bethel Baptist School students. The parade of the assassins and kidnappers was on the heel of another attempt by armed bandits to abduct road users along Abuja-Kaduna highway, which security operatives successfully foiled by engaging bandits in gun duel, killing one of them.

Speaking on behalf of the State Commissioner of Police, Mr. Mudassir Abubakar, the Police Public Relations Officer, ASP Mohammed Jalige, said two of the three alleged killers of Captain Abdulkarim are in custody, while one is still on the run.

He gave the names of the two as Bashir Mohammed, who is a neighbour of Captain Abdulkarim and Nasir Salisu alias Uban Dana, while Usman Kano is the one on the run.

He added that the trio conspired and broke into the house of Captain Abdulkarim, killed him  and carted away his SUV vehicle and other valuables.

According to him, the suspects sold Captain Abdulkarim’s SUV vehicle in Niger Republic for N1 million. On the arrest of the Bandits that kidnapped Greenfield University and Bethel Baptist Students, Jalige said  “one Usman Mohammed, an indigene of Bukuyum in Zamfara State  has been arrested for his involvement in the abduction of the students of Greenfield University, College of Agriculture Mechanization Afaka and the Bethel Baptist High school all in Kaduna.”

He also said four students of the Nuhu Bamali Polytechnic were arrested for belonging to a secret cult. He added that  24 suspects including the wife of a notorious suspect were also apprehended.
