Kebbi State Governor, Nasir Idris, has appealed to Nigerians to continuously pray for new administrations at all levels for effective delivery of democracy dividends to the electorate.
The Kauran Gwandu stated this in his Eid el-Kabir message to Muslim Ummah to mark the 1444AH/2023 Sallah.
Chief Press Secretary (CPS) to the Governor, Ahmed Idris, said the call by the governor became imperative due to the importance of divine intervention in all aspects of human endeavour.
He stated: “Prayer is key to the success of any administration, as leaders alone cannot do well except with people’s support, cooperation and, most importantly, prayers.
“As we celebrate the 1444 Eid el-Kabir, may Allah accept our Ibadat and put us among his pious servants that will inherit Aljannatul Firdaus.”
Idris urged Muslims to imbibe the spirit of brotherliness and tolerance to accommodate all manner of people, irrespective of ethnicity and religion.
Urging Nigerians to see themselves as one people striving hard to ensure unity, progress and development, the governor advised all and sundry to preach the gospel of peace and unity.
