Kebbi government secures N1.5bn World Bank loan for farmers
The Kebbi State Government has secured N1.5 billion loan from World Bank to support fish and livestock farmers in the state.Speaking yesterday in Birnin Kebbi, the Governor, Atiku Abubakar Bagudu, said the loan would also boost the livestock and fish farmers’ associations across the state.
He said despite the economic challenges, his administration was committed to delivering dividends of democracy to the electorate.“I have made an impact in rice production, which I also want others to benefit from, including fish and livestock farmers, among others,” he added.Bagudu commended the efforts of journalists in the state for being objective and commitment to the profession and urged them to be fair and just in their criticisms.
“I commend you because the profession is facing a lot of challenges. You bring peace to the society. I thank you for supporting my administration and promoting peace,” he said.
