Minister of Aviation and Aerospace Development, Festus Keyamo

Minister of Aviation and Aerospace Development, Festus Keyamo, has welcomed the rescue of the sister of former Minister of Power, Adebayo Adelabu, and her children, expressing optimism that other kidnapping victims across the country will also regain their freedom.

Reacting to the development, Keyamo stated that “the others are coming home soon,” a remark that has since drawn attention amid ongoing efforts by security agencies to combat kidnapping and other violent crimes.

The victims were reportedly abducted earlier in Oyo State, prompting concern among family members, political figures and residents. Following coordinated security operations, they were successfully rescued, bringing relief to their loved ones and the wider public.

The minister commended the security operatives involved in the operation, describing the rescue as a testament to the commitment of law enforcement agencies to safeguarding lives and tackling criminal activities.

The successful operation has been hailed as a significant breakthrough in the fight against kidnapping, a crime that continues to pose security challenges in several parts of the country.

While celebrating the release of the victims, Keyamo’s remarks also reflected hope for families whose relatives remain in captivity, assuring that efforts to secure their freedom remain ongoing.

Security authorities are expected to continue investigations and operations aimed at apprehending those responsible and preventing future incidents.
