Kogi, Nasarawa govs sign N146b, N110.8b budgets into law

Governor Yahaya Bello of Kogi State, yesterday, in Lokoja signed the state’s 2022 Budget of Accelerated Results into law, assuring greater performance in the coming year.

Governor Yahaya Bello of Kogi State, yesterday, in Lokoja signed the state’s 2022 Budget of Accelerated Results into law, assuring greater performance in the coming year.

In the same vein, his Nasarawa counterpart, Abdullahi Sule, signed N110.8 billion budget into law, after the House of Assembly jacked the initial N109.8 billion estimate to N114.3 billion.

Speaking after signing the Kogi budget into law, Bello said his administration had tried to reduce corruption to the barest minimum, assuring of greater accountability.

On his part, Sule commended the state assembly for its sacrifice to ensure quick passage of the budget, which was submitted late.

He expressed hope that most of the projects his administration started would be completed while new roads construction would be flagged off next week.
