Kontagora assumes emir’s throne
With the vacation of the restraining order on him by the Niger State High Court, Minna, Muhammadu Kontagora has assumed the Emir of Kontagora stool.
The court vacated its earlier order of Tuesday, October 12, 2021, restraining Kontagora from parading himself as the Emir of Kontagora.
About 15 indigenes had alleged that due process was not followed in his selection as the new 7th Sarkin Sudan of Kontagora on September 19, 2021.
Justice Abdullahi Mikailu, in his ruling on the matter during the resumption of hearing on the suit on Monday, October 18, 2021, explained that the vacation of the order was in line with the submission of the counsel to the applicants.
