The Lagos State Government on Thursday sealed one of the steel companies located in Ikorodu due to environmental pollution.

The General Manager (GM) of the Lagos State Environmental Protection Agency (LASEPA), Dr. Babatunde Ajayi, along with his enforcement team carried out the action.

In a statement issued late Thursday night, Ajayi and his team took decisive action by sealing Pulkit Alloy & Steel Limited in Ikorodu, Odogoyan due to severe environmental pollution.

“The company has persistently violated environmental regulations, emitting harmful substances that pose substantial health and environmental hazards to the residents of Ikorodu and its surroundings,” LASEPA said.

The agency has meanwhile directed residents of Lagos state to kindly fill out the complaint form for detailed information about their complaint via the agency’s website.
