“The State Government had also constructed several drainages within the area such as the conduct drainage along Wemco road that discharges into Agidingbi gorge and drainage along Metal Box/Acme Road that discharges into Awolowo way gorge,” he stated.

The commissioner said the need to finally address the flooding challenge at Oba Ogunnusi Road and its effect on residents and motorists after several palliative measures led to the award of the new contract for the construction of a parallel channel along Acme Road to take off excess water from Oba Ogunnusi Road.
