Plateau State Governor, Simon Lalong, yesterday sent a delegation to commiserate with the people and family of Fobur, where some gunmen killed a Naval Captain.

The delegation, led by the Secretary to the State Government, Prof. Danladi Abok Atu, condemned the action.

The governor urged security personnel to bring to book the perpetrators of the dastardly act, as the action should be the last, especially now that peace has returned to the state. Former Minister of Transport, Musa Azi, received the government’s condolence delegation.

The Navy Captain was shot dead by unknown gunmen suspected to be herdsmen at Fobur in Jos East Local Council, Plateau State. The captain’s son and a vigilante were also allegedly killed in the process.

Some persons suspected to be Fulani came to the area with a trailer load of men, asking for the whereabouts of their men involved in the fracas, said to have been eliminated by the vigilante group.
