LAUTECH, Marvel Natural collaborate on herbal products

As part of efforts aimed at making university academic research more relevant, the Ladoke Akintola University of Technology (LAUTECH), Ogbomosho, Oyo State and Marvel Natural Products (MNP) Plc. (Manufacturers of RIDA Herbal Bitters) have commenced a cooperative relationship in the area of research and design of herbal products.
 
This was made known at a public lecture titled: “Academia-Industry collaboration in Nigerian Universities,” held at the College of Health Sciences complex, Ogbomosho.

The arrangement will see the Biomedicine Research Group of Dr. Oyadeyi Ayodele and Dr. (Mrs) Ajao engage in preclinical studies of RIDA and other products of the company. 

The Vice Chancellor, represented by Professor Oyediran, welcomed the development, noting that it is capable of fostering the development of the country’s university system.

Chairman of the company, Mr. Adeolu Akinyemi, described the event as historic first that would lead to bigger and more rewarding relationships between the town and gown in Nigeria.

He stated that this further shows the commitment of MNP to bring to market safe and quality natural health products locally made but globally relevant, starting with RIDA Herbal Bitters.
