
The fifth edition of the highly anticipated Africa Coaching Week reached its pinnacle with an outstanding in-person flagship conference hosted at EbonyLife Place in Victoria Island, Lagos. Organised by the Life Coaches Association of Nigeria (LCAN), the foremost professional body for coaching practice in Nigeria, this event marked a significant stride in promoting coaching excellence throughout Africa.
Spanning four days from Monday, November 27, the Africa Coaching Week featured a convergence of high-profile fireside chats, enlightening keynotes, captivating career and business talks, and enriching networking sessions.
This year’s Africa Coaching Week drew a diverse audience, including life coaches, coaching enthusiasts, counsellors, entrepreneurs, career professionals, human resource experts, managers, corporate representatives, CEOs, and the general public across Africa, Europe, America, and Asia. This diverse amalgamation fostered an environment of collaboration and shared learning.
Dr. Lanre Olusola, Chairman of the LCAN Board of Trustees, emphasised, “Africa Coaching Week isn’t just about Nigeria; it’s about Africa, positioning the narrative of African Coaching uniquely from a global perspective.”

The flagship conference, held on the final day, boasted a stellar lineup of influential speakers, including Ayuli Jemide, Lead Partner at DETAIL Commercial Solicitors and former NBA Section on Business Law President, who received a standing ovation for his insightful microtalk on perspectives.
A highlight of the event was a practical fireside chat where LCAN members and business leaders joined Dr Lanre Olusola to discuss their coaching journeys, sharing transformative growth stories. Panelists included Enahoro Okhae, CEO of GIG Mobility and MD at Pause Factory; Yvonne Ofodile, business coach & CEO at Zetile Group; and Sam Obafemi, CEO at Cerca Africa.
The Flagship Conference also witnessed the unveiling of the second edition of the Africa Coaching Week magazine, ACW Digest, featuring insights from top African leaders, fun interviews, and in-depth articles on careers, business, relationships, and more.
Guests enjoyed engaging conversations, delightful cocktails, canapés, soulful music, and moments captured by Lagos-based photography company PhotoNimi.
As the 2023 Africa Coaching Week concluded, LCAN invited professionals and certified coaches passionate about coaching, personal development, and professional growth to join the movement. Through various initiatives and collaborations, the association aims to make coaching accessible, impactful, and transformative for individuals and communities across the continent.
