LG election: OGSIEC commences distribution of personal data forms
The Commission’s Chairman, Mr. Babatunde Osibodu, disclosing this during an internal appraisal of its preparations, said the collection of the Personal Data Forms known as Forms CF 001 and CF 002, commenced last Wednesday, and is expected to end on Friday, May 28, 2021.
He said though the information had been made public, there was a need to further remind political parties and guide them along every step, enjoining them to comply.
“We don’t want to give room for misinformation, hence, our continuous media engagement and collaborations. Though the political parties are well informed about this, I, however, consider it imperative to reiterate that we have commenced the distribution of Personal Data Forms for candidates by political parties from Wednesday, May 12, which is expected to end on Friday, May 28, 2021.
“I urge political parties to be on the same page with us. We are also being proactive and ensuring that things are done by the prescription of the law. We will continue to echo this in the ears of political parties,” Osibodu said.
He said the submission of the forms commenced on Thursday, May 13, to June 1, 2021, noting that the need to keep intimating political parties of the guidelines and timetable regularly cannot be over-emphasised.
