Katsina State Governor Aminu Masari has presented a budget estimate of N249.4 billion to the House of Assembly for the 2020 fiscal year.
Tagged ‘Budget of Reflection and Progress’, the estimate has N173.8 billion (69.7 percent) for capital projects and N75.5 billion (30.3 percent) recurrent expenditure.
Presenting the bill before the house yesterday, Masari said the estimate was N48.7 billion (23.72 percent) more than that of 2019, which had a little over N201 billion. The governor said under the capital expenditure, the economic sector will gulp N49.5 billion (28 per cent), social sector N49.6 billion (29 percent), and N57.8 billion (33 percent) for regional development.
