Mountain of Fire and Miracles Ministries (MFM), Bayelsa State Mega Regional Axis, has held its third mega musical concert to discover and nurture young talents, promote gospel music and inspire a new generation of music ministers.

The concert attracted worshippers from across Bayelsa State and neighbouring communities, featuring praise and worship sessions, choir ministrations, gospel performances, prophetic sessions and exhortations on the role of music in Christian worship and personal transformation.
Worshippers praised God in different indigenous languages, creating an atmosphere of worship, spiritual reflection and unity.

The ministry said the event reaffirmed its commitment to preserving solemn worship, strengthening the spiritual lives of its members and promoting youth development through music.

The concert also provided a platform for aspiring gospel musicians to showcase their talents, build confidence and develop their abilities to reach audiences beyond their immediate communities.
According to the church, its musical programmes encourage members across different age groups to participate actively in worship while deepening their faith and spiritual growth.

Speaking on the significance of the event, the Mega Regional Overseer of MFM Bayelsa State, Pastor Emmanuel Akinola, said the commitment of the church’s General Overseer, Dr Daniel Kolawole Olukoya, and his wife, Dr Elizabeth Folashade Olukoya, to youth development and helping young people fulfil their God-given destinies was exemplary.

He said the commitment had inspired the ministry’s churches to create opportunities for young people to discover and develop their talents.

Olukoya and his wife are known for their involvement in music, with the couple celebrated for their contributions to gospel music and songwriting.

Akinola explained that the concert went beyond musical performances, describing it as a ministry aimed at drawing souls to Christ, creating opportunities for spiritual encounters and encouraging people facing life’s challenges.
He said gospel music remained a powerful tool for emotional healing, spiritual upliftment and strengthening the faith of believers.

The cleric urged Nigerians to embrace regular praise and worship, describing them as pathways to spiritual growth and breakthrough.
One of the soloists, Sister Tammy Areprekumor, thanked Olukoya for creating opportunities for young people to minister through music.

She described the concert as one of the events she looked forward to most each year, adding that it offered young musicians an opportunity to express their faith through their God-given gifts.
A member of the regional choir, Pastor Kelvin Whyte, said preparations for the concert had deepened his prayer life and strengthened his commitment to the choir.
“Every rehearsal felt like a prayer meeting. By the time we got on stage, it was no longer a performance but worship,” he said.

For Sister Miracle, a first-time performer who presented “Buburukan ko ni subu Lu o” at the event, the concert provided an opportunity to overcome stage fright and build confidence.
She encouraged other young people to step forward and use their talents to serve God.
“If I could do it, anyone can,” she said.

Worshippers, participants and families who attended the concert also shared testimonies of spiritual encounters, joy and peace, expressing hope that the experience would have a lasting impact on their lives.
Mr Shadrack, who attended with his family, said the use of different indigenous languages during the praise sessions made the concert a celebration of unity.

He added that he left the venue feeling refreshed and more hopeful about the challenges he was facing.
Mrs Opemipo, a parent whose children participated in the programme, commended the church leadership for creating a platform that encouraged young people to remain focused on God.

“Programmes like this keep our children away from negative influences and give them a sense of purpose,” she said.
The church said the concert formed part of its broader commitment to nurturing young people, promoting spiritual development and raising a new generation of gospel music ministers.
