MSMEs’ productivity tops agenda as summit holds

Economic Forum Series (EFS) has partnered with the Bank of Industry (BoI), Small and Medium Enterprises Development Agency of Nigeria (SMEDAN) and Nigerian Association of Small and Medium Enterprises (NASME) for their yearly Micro, Small and Medium Enterprises (MSMEs) summit.

The third edition, with the theme, ‘Enhancing MSMEs’ productivity and growth in an emerging digital economy holds today in Lagos.

Founder, EFS, Jude Ndu, said the event would discuss and examine critical issues around MSMEs’ productivity and growth within the context of an emerging digital economy and offer a path to digital transformation and financing of innovative models.

He explained that the sub-theme, ‘Digitising Payments and MSME Financing Innovation for Unlocking Untapped Access to Credit’, would deepen the nature of the panel discussion.

Associate Director, DiGiCOMM Enterprises, Ukaobisike Uzoije, said the summit would present robust content, brand-building and high-value networking opportunities for brands and marketers to connect with the target audience and stakeholders within the broader MSME, finance and technology ecosystem.

The event is key players, stakeholders, regulatory and policy decision makers across the MSME sub-sector, MDAs, NGOs, academia, development finance institutions, and industry and business thought leaders.

Minister of State for Industry, Trade and Investment, Mariam Yelwaji Katagum, is to officially kick-start the event.

Speakers and panellists include Associate Dean, Lagos Business School (LBS), Prof. Olayinka David-West; BoI MD/CEO, Olukayode Pitan; CEO, SMEDAN, Olawale Fasanya and Executive Vice Chairman, Nigerian Communications Commission (NCC), Prof. Umar Garba Danbatta.
