The Muslim Ummah of South-West Nigeria (MUSWEN) has congratulated Hassan Fajimite on his election as President of the Muslim Lawyers’ Association of Nigeria (MULAN).
In a statement, yesterday, jointly signed by its President, Rasaki Oladejo, and Executive Secretary, Prof. Wole Abbas, the Islamic group said: “The Muslim Ummah of South-West Nigeria (MUSWEN) heartily congratulates Hassan Taiwo Fajimite on his well-deserved election as the National President of the Muslim Lawyers’ Association of Nigeria (MULAN).
“MUSWEN views Fajimite’s emergence as a landmark development for the Muslim community in Nigeria, particularly within the legal profession. His long-standing dedication to the cause of Islam, combined with his professional excellence and principled leadership, makes him the ideal person to steer MULAN at this critical time.”
“Hassan Fajimite’s commitment to Islam is unassailable. He has consistently demonstrated integrity, piety, and a deep sense of responsibility towards the Ummah. We have no doubt that under his leadership, MULAN will continue to champion the rights of Muslim lawyers, promote justice rooted in Islamic principles, and contribute meaningfully to the advancement of the rule of law in our nation.”
MUSWEN, however, commended MULAN for the confidence reposed in Fajimite and prayed the Almighty Allah to grant him the wisdom, strength, and divine guidance to successfully pilot the affairs of the association.
“We urge all Muslim lawyers across the country to rally behind the new leadership and work collectively towards the growth and unity of the Ummah.
“As the umbrella body of Muslims in South-West Nigeria, MUSWEN reaffirms its readiness to collaborate with MULAN under Fajimite’s leadership in areas of mutual interest, including legal advocacy, education, and the protection of the rights of Muslims,” MUSWEN said.
